MEDITATION & MODERN BUDDHISM

EVERYONE WELCOME!

ONGOING WEEKLY MEDITATION CLASSES

NEW JULY SERIES!

The Power of Attention: Training the Mind That Creates Our World

Buddha taught that our experience of life depends upon the state of our mind. In this July series, we will explore the power of attention—what we notice, what we dwell on, what captures us, and what we can learn to let go.

Attention is not just where the mind lands. It is how our world is built.

Through meditation and practical Buddhist wisdom, we can begin to train our attention so that our mind becomes clearer, steadier, more peaceful, and more loving.

GROUP PRAYERS & EVENTS

We offer weekly meditation classes open to everyone, on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15, in addition to special workshops and events.

Most of our classes and workshops are open to students at any level, and typically include a talk, guided meditations and discussion. At our community events you can meet friendly people who will support you in creating a more positive, meaningful life. We also offer in-depth study programs for those who have some experience and want to go deeper in their practice and their exploration of Buddha's teachings.

Our meditation practices are based on a lineage of wisdom that has liberated practitioners for thousands of years. We are part of the New Kadampa Tradition -- a global family of Mahayana Buddhist centers and temples founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a Tibetan meditation master who founded the tradition and launched the non-profit after being invited to teach in England in the 1970s.

Everyone is Welcome! We believe Buddha’s timeless wisdom and the practice of meditation can help everybody, regardless of their background or previous experience. Everyone can learn how to use wisdom to solve their daily problems, grow spiritually and transform our world.

We are a volunteer-run, member-supported nonprofit. If you love to volunteer, we invite you to help us offer this path of wisdom & compassion which is so needed in these times.
