POWA CEREMONY
Powa Ceremony is a beautiful and powerful ritual practice that enables us to benefit the recently deceased (within 49 days) by coming together as a group and making prayers and offerings on their behalf. Then, through the power of our compassionate intention, strong prayers, and concentration on the practice, we transfer the consciousness of the deceased to the Pure Land of the Buddha of Compassion so that they will experience a pure and lasting peace and finally be freed from the painful cycle of suffering and its causes. Powa is a beautiful, very auspicious practice and everyone is welcome to attend.
MEDICINE BUDDHA PRAYERS
Medicine Buddha is a Buddha Doctor whose function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness by bestowing blessings upon them.
“May everyone who is sick be swiftly healed, and may every disease that affects living beings be permanently eradicated. May the frightened be released from their fears, may those in captivity be freed, may the powerless be endowed with power, and may people think only of benefiting one another.”

WISHFULFILLING JEWEL
Wishfulfilling Jewel with tsog is a collection of prayers that involve making offerings of food and drink to the Buddhas in conjunction with prayers. They are an excellent method for accumulating merit, purifying negativity and receiving blessings.
The first part of the prayers is the Guru Yoga practice visualizing our Spiritual Guide in the aspect of Je Tsongkhapa. The second part of the prayers are prayers to our Dharma protector Dorje Shugden. We request Dorje Shugden to eliminate obstacles and to provide favorable conditions for our Dharma practice.
MELODIOUS DRUM
This monthly practice consists principally of prayers to our Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden. A Dharma Protector is an emanation of a Buddha or Bodhisattva whose main functions are to avert the inner and outer obstacles that prevent practitioners from attaining spiritual realizations, and to arrange all the necessary conditions for their practice. Dorje Shugden always helps, guides, and protects pure and faithful practitioners by granting blessings, increasing their wisdom, fulfilling their wishes and bestowing success on all their virtuous activities.
